Avast mobile security is one of the most downloaded antivirus apps on the Android market place and for good reason the brand is reliable it has okay test results and it comes with a lot of features that many free antivirus programs just are not able to compete with. However, the program is far from being the best on the market and it seems to be losing speed ever since the release of 360 Mobile Security which is the new rising star in the android antivirus game.

Avast Mobile Security comes with a lot of amazing free features even a fully functional anti theft monitoring which is even able to track the location of your phone and tell you were it is and set off alarms and even able to remotely alert the phone causing it to set of a loud screech to draw attention to the thief. However, it is also a paid app that if you sign up for the premium version you get even more features. Let’s look at what both the free version and the premium version of the app have to offer to us.

As you can see the free version comes with a lot of antivirus protection including a file system shield which scans all running files in real-time. That is something we have not seen with many other antivirus apps. However, the paid version is still a lot to be desired it does not seem to be that much of an improvement in comparison to the free version. You do get more backup space however, you can already back up your files freely to Google drive. Most games are already saved to your Google account. You can back up the game information with other free apps to your SD card. So what is the real purpose of the paid version of Avast Mobile Security?

The paid version is more for peace of mind and convenience of the user. Why should you go use Google drive, or some other third-party to store your files when you can get it protected by avast. The idea is that you have a reliable brand name to protect your files and that is why the idea sells so well. Avast mobile security is a great free antivirus app that will keep your phone safe (click for protection scores by av-test). However, it is not the best mobile antivirus on the market (360 Mobile Security claims that title) it does have its place especially with the amount of features that it comes with. I can say that I would recommend Avast Mobile Security to anyone with an unprotected device.

Recommendation For The Company: Add system optimization tools to improve performance.
