Chitika is one of the largest Ad Networks that most people have heard of. Their advertisements are famous for their “e-mini mall” which was basically a collection of links that were to relating products. In recent times though Chitika has had a love hate relationship with many publishers and its mostly due to the way it is set up.

Chitika has many ad formats that are not found in most standard advertising networks giving you plenty of options.

As we can see Chitika has a large amount of advertising formats which is good for a desktop website, but none of these are responsive nor is there any way to make these advertisements responsive within the network. Not only that but the selection of rich media advertisements is very poor at best.

Chitika also has a very poor rate when it comes to CPM and CPC. Most users are not even reporting one cent per click which is way below the industry average. Others have found to have really good luck and continue to use Chitika. It varies greatly on your niche and if you do a random niche that isn’t wide-spread such as trapping squirrels. Your advertisements will be very poor. However, technology might perform very well and this is not a small little change the amount of change that you will see is great and can make the difference between you using Chitika or another advertising network.

If you have a personal experience with Chitika tell us about it in the comments below.
