Becoming a contributor means that you are voluntarily contributing your time and services to write an article. The principle is that if you are a website owner looking to earn a backlink then you write a guest post on another website then you will earn a valuable backlink from that website.
Contributors are in a special position. You are able to write as many posts as you want, but you have a restriction of that your post can not be approved unless I or another administrator publishes it. Every contributor must follow these guidelines.
Rule #1: Contributors must have a track record of writing great content
When you go to become a contributor your website will be checked. It will be checked on a number of criteria including the following:
- Content Type (must be suitable for all viewing ages).
- Language (at the current time only english posts are accepted)
- Malware (all websites are scanned for malware if it is found to contain any form of malicious code you will be rejected)
- Structure (all websites most look visibly appealing if it looks poorly made then you will be rejected).
Rule #2: Contributors can not have links in their author box.
If you are writing an article on The Daily Exposition your article can contain links to your website article (ONLY HOMEPAGE) (keep it minimal or you can be rejected (avoid spam techniques)).
THIS DOESN’T MEAN YOU CANT USE SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS
- Social media accounts, website profile (our website), no linking to your articles, website landing/home page.
Rule #3: All outbound links are going to be checked and scanned for malware
IF you are found sending users to a malicious website then you can and will be punished. Malware is a growing problem and users are going to be protected from such issues while they are on this website if you are found using link cloaking (goo.gl, bit.ly, adf.ly you will be banned).
Rule #4: Posts are checked for spelling and grammar errors
The Daily Exposition has a spell check and grammar service built-in thanks to Jetpack USE IT.
Rule #5: Contributors must fully own the content they are submitting
The Daily Exposition checks all content via several databases to find stolen content. All content used must be sited properly and any images that you don’t own must include a proper copyright tag that states where it was found.
FURTHMORE ANY CONTENT SUBMITTED TO THE DAILY EXPOSITION THAT IS PUBLISHED IS THEREFORE OWNED BY THE DAILY EXPOSITION
Meaning if you write a post regarding your favorite animal and we publish it, we now own the rights to that article. Meaning you are not able to replicate or use it elsewhere and if you are found to do so action will be taken against you.
All content must follow Adsense guidelines.*
