Chinese internet security company Qihoo 360 has announced a plan to invest 1.6 billion dollars to create a smart home system. This does not come as a surprise as the company has been known to explore new routes including smart cars, as well as other new technologies.

The company is teaming up with several other companies such as Haier and AUX to create smart appliances as well as creating the foundation of the smart home eco-system.

This new technology will allow people to do all sorts of things such as turning on their lights, air conditioning, and other smart connected device through their smartphones. Current plans also show the ability to monitor homes through video streaming that you will be able to access with your mobile device.
