Qihoo 360 to Send its Latest Smartphone Into Space


Chinese internet security firm Qihoo 360 is reportedly planning to send its latest smartphone into space on Janaury 1, 2016. Qihoo plants to launch the phone into space and to china’s largest space facility.

With this move, Qihoo will be the first Chinese private company to send a rocket into orbit.

It has also been reported that the company might send its recently released Q Terra into space. Spec wise the Q Terra is a 6.0-inch phablet device with a 1920×1080 pixel resolution.

The Q Terra runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with a customized 360 OS. It has two 13 magapixel rear facing cameras and an 8 megapixel front-facing shooter.

While we are still awaiting for the company to follow through on the companies Weibo page they have announced that other companies could also participate in the prgram in the future.
